Travel operator raises €25m Series B financing from Crédit Mutuel Innovation, Red River West, Caisse des Dépôts, Raise Ventures, Cap Horn, and French Founders.
Founded in 2013 by Grégoire Pasquet, Erwan Corre, David Parlange and Christian Daguerre, Worldia develops a personalized travel booking platform.
With +1,000 itineraries in +75 destinations, it works with the travel industry (airlines, hotels or rental companies) but also with other players wishing to offer tailor-made experiences (such as Veepee or Cdiscount).
The travel studio comprises 3 hubs:
Technology: a dynamic travel planner with real-time prices, availability and quotes, and +30 customizable features;
Content: an offer of +800,000 services, including a selection of 16,000 hotels, 4,200 activities and +inspirational tours;
Service: premium support for distributors and travelers (tour operator responsibility, 24/7 on-site assistance, help and support with trip creation, marketing tools).
The solution is used by +4,500 travel agents. Worldia's Partnerships and Trade division has already worked with companies such as ProColombia, Westjet, Le Routard, Milk Magazine, VisitQuebec and Frenchbee.
This transaction will enable Worldia to develop its platform and functionalities, as well as set its sights on the international market.
