French cybersecurity start-up Elba, co-founded by Théo Rouer, Grégoire Ostian and Antoine Berton, has just completed a seed round of 2.5 million euros with XAnge, Kima Ventures, eFounders and other foreign investment funds.
As part of this fundraising, 2C Finance is proud to have carried out Elba's financial due diligence.
Elba, the first employee-centric cybersecurity platform.
The risks of cyber-attacks are becoming increasingly widespread in the workplace. Collaborative methods, the rise of telecommuting and the use of digital tools are all potential entry points for malicious practices.
This observation gave rise to Elba, the first employee-focused cybersecurity platform, with a 2-step approach:
- firstly, prevention made more fun through video training and games.
- secondly, through alert systems to help employees rectify their mistakes, automatically via slack or email, as soon as risky behavior is detected (e.g. during an API connection, or document sharing).
The aim: to secure the company while enabling employees to use tools to be more productive.
Launched in September, the start-up has already attracted over a hundred customers, the majority of them French (Zenchef, Matera, Brut...), with a business model based on monthly subscriptions per employee. Next steps? Accelerate its development in Europe, then in the United States, and enhance its service offering to connect with the most widely used tools on the market.
2C Finance, the preferred partner for fundraising operations.
The Transaction Services branch of 2C Finance, an independent financial advisory firm, is regularly mandated by the XAnge fund for fundraising, M&A and LBO transactions.
For this Elba seed round, Jacques Haccoun, Partner in charge of financial due diligence, was accompanied by Claire Jacinto (Senior Manager) and Romain Vasseur (Consultant).
