The I/O Media group has acquired Ideat Editions, the media group behind design and lifestyle magazines Ideat, The Good Life, and Dim Dam Dom, as well as its event subsidiary, The Good Agency. The acquisition includes Ideat's Chinese and German license versions, which have a combined circulation of 66,130 copies, and The Good Life, which has a circulation of 39,481 copies. The deal was made for an undisclosed amount, but Ideat Editions had a revenue of €10 million in 2021.
I/O Media, which owns titles such as Têtu, Opera Magazine, and Lyrik, is a media group created by Albin Serviant. The group is known for producing high-value content and has a revenue of nearly €5 million. The acquisition of Ideat Editions is a strategic move for I/O Media to further strengthen its portfolio of publications.
Ideat Editions was founded in 1999 by Laurent Blanc with the support of investment firm PH3. The media group has a strong reputation for publishing high-quality content in the design and lifestyle space. The acquisition by I/O Media will allow for further growth and expansion of Ideat's publications.
This acquisition is the latest in a series of consolidations in the media industry, as companies look to build scale and reach in the face of increasing competition. The acquisition will allow I/O Media to expand its presence in the design and lifestyle segment, while Ideat Editions will benefit from the resources and expertise of a larger media group.
