It's official: towerCast, France's second-largest broadcasting operator, has acquired RadioKing, a company specializing in online broadcasting and digital radio services.
Diversification and internationalization
Owned by ICREO, RadioKing has enjoyed spectacular growth since its inception in 2013. The company makes life easier for radio stations and broadcasters by simplifying the creation, management and distribution of their audio content.
TowerCast, a subsidiary of NRJ, is a service and infrastructure operator offering complete FM, DTT and DAB+ broadcasting solutions, reaching between 60% and 85% of the French population. The acquisition of RadioKing will enable NRJ to diversify its radio offerings and continue to expand both in France and abroad. RadioKing currently supports over 3,000 radio stations in just over 170 countries.
Pauline Spriet, head of 2C Finance in Lille, helped RadioKing with its takeover.
This acquisition enables both companies to position themselves strategically in a fast-growing market.
