Wakeo, the world leader in real-time visibility for overseas transportation, has just concluded a $11 million Series A funding round led by 360 Capital and Promus Ventures. Transaction Services - 2CFinance carried out the financial due diligence for Wakeo.
Founded in 2016 by Julien Cote and Loïc Marzin, Wakeo develops a SaaS platform connecting large companies to their international transport providers (maritime, air and road). The startup aggregates numerous data sources - ERP software, satellites, connected objects - and provides a dashboard allowing real-time tracking of transports, to be notified in case of delivery delays or to obtain the environmental footprint of flows according to the modes of transport.
Wakeo already works with large companies such as Air Liquide, Uniqlo, Faurecia, IDA Foundation, and Clasquin.
The funds raised will be used to accelerate Wakeo's international development as it seeks to expand its services beyond its current client base.
360 Capital is a venture capital firm that invests primarily in early-stage companies in France and Europe. Promus Ventures is a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage technology companies with a focus on enterprise software, infrastructure, and security.
The success of the funding round highlights the growing demand for real-time visibility in the transportation industry, and Wakeo's innovative use of technology to meet this demand.
